First of all, as a young team, we would like to note the scale of the event – 1100+ participants in the grain and logistics markets, 3 days of intensive networking and a rich program directly in the conference hall, a great opportunity to make new acquaintances and renew old contacts – for all this, many thanks to the organizers – Russian Grain Union!
Secondly, we would like to note the importance of holding such events – all participants had the opportunity not only to directly ask questions of interest to speakers and experts, but also to discuss news and innovations with each other on the sidelines.
And thirdly, the participants of the Grain Round voted for an important appeal to the federal and regional legislative and executive authorities with a call for the formation of a new competitive agri-food policy, which should be formulated publicly, and the prompt solution of such tasks as: bring it into line with the realities of agricultural activities of the practice of regulation of road transport; the establishment on a permanent basis of a special level of railway tariffs in order to remove the excess supply of grain in regions remote from consumption zones; all market players are concerned about the practice of limiting the export of grains and oilseeds; the transition from declarations to a real reduction and optimization of control and supervisory functions, the introduction of a ban on informal restrictions on the economic activities of participants in the grain market and their processed products. All these and many other issues require prompt solutions in anticipation of the new marketing season.
Well, we, market participants, are all moving on – someone is preparing for the harvest, someone is preparing warehouses and elevators, and someone is considering logistics and preparing interesting offers, like we are #RusAgroTrade.
See you on in the new marketing year!
